What people have said about their photographs.

Mr. C......... USA . His ancestors left England in 1870, he has never visited our country or seen where they lived.

We were able to send him photos of several of his ancestors farms, homes, workplaces, churches and gravestones. As well as views of the surrounding countryside.

I was delighted and overwhelmed with the pictures that you sent me of Farndale...the rolling hills, different shots of Oak House (my greatgrandfather's house), the heather on the slopes, the pictures of headstones of ancestors, the sheep grazing in the meadows, the daffodil walk in Spring, the snow-covered mountains in winter. I may never get to put foot on English soil where my father walked, but already I feel that I have been there vicariously. To me, Farndale as well as Yorkshire is the most beautiful spot in the world!! What you have provided for me brings closure to my life as I have learned of my paternal relatives whom my father lost all contact with when he came to America. I shall forever be grateful for what you have done for me. Thanks again and again!!!!!

This is absolutely marvellous. I can hardly believe it and I am so grateful to you. I could hardly believe any of these places were still standing and the fact you found some gravesites is most amazing.

You just don't know how much all this means to me!!!!   I am so excited about it all.

Mrs. S........ USA. Her husbands ancestors left England in the 1830's, she has never seen anything of the area in which they lived.

We have emailed her photos of numerous gravestones, the parish church and views of their village and countryside.

I still cannot believe that I have connected with someone so far away and in the right area where I am trying to research.

Thanks so much for the information. I started genealogy as a young bride in the 1960's. Boy I wish I could tell my in-laws and my late husband, but they are not here to share it with.

You have just given me Great grandparents down to the wife of William and including the brothers of William born 1741.

I loved the picture of the countryside and the church. It is something to add to the genealogy. It makes things seem real and it is wonderful to know where they lived.

Mr. & Mrs. B...... New Zealand. Mr. B...... left England himself as a young man. He has visited the area his ancestors lived in several times but had never found their house that they lived in.

We have sent them photographs of his ancestors house and farm, gravestones, several churches and view of the surrounding countryside.

Thank you very much for the wonderful photos, you have covered so much
more than was expected, the key to the photographs helps enormously to
get an overall picture, especially when looking at the church and
graveyard from all angles.

I must say I am impressed by the work you put in to the photos.
